BBQ five spice smoked pork loin

  • 800 gram pork loin skin off.
  • Chinese 5 spices – we used the master foods brand
  • Light olive oil
  • Sea Salt
  • Pepper


Step 1

Coat the pork loin in the light olive oil then sprinkle the 5 spice to make sure it is fully covered. Let this pork sit for 15 minutes to allow the flavours to infuse.

Step 2

Have the BBQ on medium heat and seal the pork all over. Reduce the heat to low and cook for approximately 15 minutes. Rest the pork for 10 minutes. Always take off before you feel it is cooked as the pork will continue to cook when rested.

Step 3

Carve the loin into medallions and sprinkle salt and pepper to taste. You could mix up a Chinese sauce if needed.
