Pork and veal san choy bau

Ingredients

  • 300 grams of pork mince
  • 300 grams of veal mince
  • 1 Shallot
  • 4 garlic cloves
  • 2 red chillies
  • 2 green chillies
  • 6 spring onions
  • 12 lettuce leaves
  • 4 table spoons of soy sauce
  • 4 table spoons of Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 table spoons of Mirin sauce
  • 1 table spoon of BBQ sauce
  • Lug of olive oil

Method

Step One

Heat oil and add Chillies, Shallots, and Garlic then add Pork and veal mice and brown off.

Step Two

Reduce heat to low and pour in the Soy, Worcestershire, Mirin and BBQ sauce, Mix through well. Reduce heat to lowest and let simmer for 10 minutes stirring often.

Step Three

Prepare the lettuce leaves on a grand plate. Add the mix to each lettuce leaf and garnish with spring onion and extra chillies if desired.
